The number one problem in the way of women creating more wealth, success, impact and freedom is the way we see ourselves.

For centuries, women have seen themselves through the masculine, patriarchal lens. Everything we choose, do and strive for has been influenced by this patriarchal framework: Success. Business. Leadership. Power. Wealth.

Women operate outside of their innate wisdom, strengths and worthiness trying to live up to the patriarchal status quo.

The Feminine Lens is a leadership podcast that challenges those patriarchal viewpoints and encourages us to look at ourselves, life, business + leadership through a new lens.

It reframes, redefines and reclaims our greatest asset...ourselves.

Through a series of guests, solo reflections and panel discussions we help you navigate the unique challenges women face in ALL arenas of power.

We have real + honest conversations that are rooted in practical strategies for taking care of ourselves, being better leaders, and creating everything women desire.

I’m Sonya Stattmann, a lifelong entrepreneur, facilitator, teacher, activist + champion for women. In the last twenty years I have worked with thousands of women in business, leadership and life, helping them redefine themselves and the world around them so they can create more wealth, freedom and impact.

I have seen first hand what happens when women have the courage to reclaim themselves + lead. They change the world.

Following Your Strengths to Your Zone of Genius with Katya Nicholas

Following Your Strengths to Your Zone of Genius with Katya Nicholas

While I am all for leading with our strengths, I think it is also super important to learn how to care for them, too. Just because we have a natural gift for something doesn’t mean we can ride it into the ground. We have to find ways to recharge, even when we are doing work that comes more naturally to us!
To expand on a wonderful month of conversations about strengths & genius, in this episode I’m chatting with Brilliance Strategist Katya Nicholas about how to follow your strengths to your zone of genius.
Katya and I talk about how she uses Clifton Strengths with her clients, why our superpowers can also give us blindspots, and how we can create an unshakeable belief in ourselves and our talents.

Why Our Brains Focus on Our Weaknesses (And How to Stop)

Why Our Brains Focus on Our Weaknesses (And How to Stop)

Magic happens when women stop focusing on their weaknesses and start leaning all the way into their strengths instead. Mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and even financially - this is such a game changer.
This episode is all about what keeps us from living and working in our innate strengths. We’ll talk about how to turn the volume down on your inner critic and the importance of practicing self-compassion as you learn to align with your true genius.

Embracing & Reframing Our Strengths and Genius

Embracing & Reframing Our Strengths and Genius

When we lean into our natural strengths, we create businesses that feel better to run, deliver better results and build more wealth. It is a win-win-win!
In this episode I am laying the groundwork for our conversations about strengths and genius, including why focusing on our weaknesses holds us back from true fulfillment, alignment and wealth.
We will talk about why you are totally worthy exactly as you are now, and why this means that you should tap into your innate zone of genius instead of what you have simply learned to be good at.

What To Do When Being in Our Body Feels Difficult

What To Do When Being in Our Body Feels Difficult

We have been talking about embodiment all month, but this is still a challenging practice for so many of us. What can we do when being in our body feels scary, painful, or even triggering?
This week our resident somatic therapist, Laura Shook-Guzman, joins us to talk about what to do when embodiment feels difficult. We discuss what we’re taught about our bodies and how this and other trauma can make it hard to be embodied. We also talk about the importance of gentleness and patience when working to heal the relationship with the body, and why it is so worthwhile for women to step into bodily healing and power.
